Ladies Who Launch event prep for Ow to Wow event on Dec. 4

As you know, I have been blogging these past few weeks about keeping up your professional image. And obviously, your bio and headshot are instrumental in defining your image in business marketing and social media among other mediums. More importantly, if you aren’t satisfied with the look of either, you won’t be motivated to promote yourself and your business as well or as often as you should. This is bad. As a female entrepreneur, you should always be getting yourself & your business out there generating interest with your target audience. Half the battle in getting a great headshot and bio is doing the prep work in advance.

With that in mind, 30 women spent the morning of October 27 at W Hotel Perimeter’s SAVU Restaurant learning about how to go from “Ow!” to “Wow!.” This event helped educate everyone in attendance on how to prepare to have a great professional headshot and bio. I was one of four featured experts who shared tips on making an entrepreneurial woman’s professional image reflect her business brand identity.

At the Oct. 27 event, I worked with Ladies Who Launch Atlanta & Angela Stalcup who planned the whole thing. I spoke to the ladies with other experts (Fantastic & knowledgeable professionals Oana Hogrefe, Photographer, Nichole Bazemore, Copywriter & Cathy Hankinson, Image Consultant) who will be at the Dec. 4 event. They will help you determine what you should and shouldn’t do to assure you get materials that you love and that will bring bang to your business.

Again, on Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Authentic Beauty will host an interactive bio and headshot clinic where you can work with a professional writer to craft the perfect biography, and get a new headshot by a professional photographer (retouching at all) & work with me to get a polished & professional look. Click here to sign up.

Whether you are going the DIY route or hiring professionals, you’ll want to know how to prepare to communicate your brand though your photo and bio. Because once you have a great photo & bio, you’re ready to rock the world!

Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving! And I hope you can make it on Dec. 4, but if you can’t, please come stop by & see me or book an appointment with me online. Call Stephanie at 404-849-0443 or info@authenticbeautyllc.com.

Pink Magazine Event

Next Monday, Nov. 15, Authentic Beauty is “empowered” to be part of the Pink Magazine Fall Empowerment Series. This fabulous event from 11 to 2 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead will help attendees connect with & learn from some of America’s most influential women in business. There will be three speakers at PINK’s education and leadership conference -Newell Rubbermaid’s Group President Penny McIntyre, Atlanta-based author Emily Griffin, and Carol’s Daughter Founder Lisa Price-and the discussion with be moderated by Good Day Atlanta’s Suchita Valdamani. I am thrilled to be able to network with them & learn from what they have to say.

Authentic Beauty will be a vendor at the event & we will be doing all the participants’ make-up & brows, and talking about Project Authentic Beauty, the role of Authentic Beauty in Atlanta & in womens’ lives, Image Journeys and essentially anything & everything that a participant would want to know about Authentic Beauty.  This event is a phenomenal resource for female entrepreneurs & it actually benefits another female entrepreneur, Kate Atwood. If you don’t know, Kate Atwood is the founder of Kate’s Club and is an Authentic Beauty.

Kate’s Club is a non-profit organization that empowers children and teens facing life after the death of a parent or sibling. By creating friendships with kids and young adults that share the experience, Kate’s Club guides children through their grief journey in a comfortable, safe, and uplifting setting. Kate is truly a great role model & female entrepreneur who took a negative experience in her life & spun it into a positive. She is now helping thousands of children & she has written a book as well. I have done Kate’s make-up for several years now for one of her annual fund-raisers, Kate’s Cabaret.

I think Pink Magazine is a great resource for female entrepreneurs & all women as a matter of fact. I have been a fan for some time.  I am committed to entrepreneurial women.   And as you know I support many organizations such as Crave and Ladies Who Launch and am proud to be an entrepreness.

I realize that for years that female entrepreneurs & businesswomen thought they had to look masculine to be successful, but they don’t. They can look beautiful & feminine, and still be successful & fabulous in their line of work. We, at Authentic Beauty, have taken this task by the reins & starting now, we will be helping you achieve your Authentic Entrepreneur look-polished, minimal & beautiful.  The point is for who you are to be present and NOT the makeup. “Non-distracting” is the key.  We can teach you to do that. Stay tuned for blogs this week & next about how to get your brand image conveyed through your authentic self. If you can’t make the PINK event, come stop by & see us or book an appointment  online.
