Our Spring Photo Shoot
Unfortunately it is going to start getting colder again, but that’s not going to deter us from doing our spring photo shoot this Friday for our new spring looks. I always get so excited every time a season changes because we’ll debut our new looks! Basically, the 2010 spring looks will be transitioning back to being very natural. We will be working a lot with facescaping, meaning a put together, flawless face with groomed brows for a perfected look. The other key parts in this look are the bright cheek, the colorful lip and lush lashes.
The dominant colors that we are using in this palette will be pinks, peaches & purples. We have been relying on a demure violet eyeshadow to create a soft smoky eye. Hair for this upcoming season will focus on loose, natural, undone texture. We are seeing a lot of relaxed braids, beachy waves & a ton of focus on the health & shine of the hair rather than just a style. I like to equate this look to the girls in the Anthropologie catalog. I like this laidback natural look with an eclectic vibe; a gorgeous surfer girl. Our primary focus on this look was not on creating an effect or a look, like the goal of most make-up trends are, but staying with an earthy vibe zeroing in on natural beauty.
Following on this thread of natural & beautiful, we are using a mish mash of accessories with a piratey kind of feel, and more specifically using jewelry from Smart Glass & Mark Edge. We are also thrilled to be working with Holly from Noland Suttles Salon for our models’ hair, Brooke with Minx Chick Mobile Nails for the manicures and Kathleen Plate of Smart Glass & Mark Edge from Mark Edge Jewelry. Look for our spring looks in the upcoming months in local publications! And for those of you who have been wallowing in the cold, come out to the studio & learn firsthand how to usher in spring with our new looks!
