What exactly is a lash lift and lash tint? Our licensed estheticians, including Bri, Zahra and Lilia, are experts at lashes at Authentic Beauty and they explain the process below.
LASH LIFT SANDY SPRINGS
A lash lift is like a perm for your eyelashes, and the treatment boosts and lifts each individual lash. Lash lifts use a conditioning lotion that makes lashes curl and is a gorgeous, more affordable, less time consuming and a longer lasting alternative to lash extensions. Bonus! Lash lifts are also much lower maintenance and mascara can still be worn with them if desired (though you really won’t need it except, maybe, with a full-face of makeup.)
The lash lift process begins by measuring the application rod to the length of your lashes. Then, your lash lift specialist applies a lifting solution onto the lash rods and combs your lashes upwards evenly, making sure not to crisscross them. Once your lashes are evenly distributed on the rods, your lash lift artist meticulously and carefully applies a setting lotion for up to 10 minutes before the lashes are cleaned and conditioned for an additional 10 minutes. The entire process can be done in about an hour (but sometimes it takes a bit longer depending on how pliable or unruly your lashes are), and the best part is that lash lifts can last longer than lash extensions with proper care—6 to 8 weeks!
LASH TINTING SANDY SPRINGS
After your lash lift, we also recommend a lash tint to make your lashes appear even more defined, thicker, darker, and even longer-looking. And our lash tinting service can totally eliminate the need for mascara. Lash tinting follows the same process as the lash lift service where we apply a custom-blended hue (perfect for your shade, coloring, and preference) to your bottom and top lashes.
It only takes about 10 minutes for the lash tint to be applied, set, and removed. Did we mention that a lash tint makes the perfect complement to a lash lift?
Like our lash lift service, lash tinting can really reduce the time it takes to get ready in the morning. The results can last for 4 to 5 weeks, but we recommend using an oil free makeup remover to increase longevity.
