Authentic Beauty’s Fall 2016 Makeup Collection: Peace, Unity & Serenity

The Makeup & Fashion Forecast for Fall 2016

As the Fall 2016 election season approached just a few short weeks ago, the team here at Authentic Beauty decided it was time for a slight departure from our annual Makeup & Fashion Forecast. This year, we based our Peace, Unity & Serenity Collection on the consummately on-trend Pantone Fashion Report, adapting the optimism, strength and tranquility found within its foundational Earth tones and vibrant pops of color into wearable, universally-flattering makeup looks for all complexions, skin tones and age groups.

For years, Pantone has dictated color trends across textiles, fashion, paint, home decor and makeup. This year, the internationally-acclaimed institute and leading authority on color seemed to be thinking about more than simply trend-setting— they seemed to be in search of the same positive worldview as our studio team here in Atlanta. Talk about serendipity!

Although the Pantone Fashion Report is anchored by varying hues of blue, we built our looks, Peace, Unity and Serenity, from three of Pantone’s more unexpected hues for Fall 2016. We kept them in the intended spirit of the Report by ensuring each is structured yet lively.

Peace, Unity & Serenity: Fall 2016 Seasonal Trends Makeup Collection from Authentic Beauty Makeup Salon & Hair Studio

  • Peace: Like the edgy gray Pantone hue (“Sharkskin”) on which it was built, this Authentic Beauty Fall 2016 seasonal makeup look is a foundational neutral that acts as a practical yet thoroughly modern accent for just about any Fall outfit.
  • Unity: Versatile, vivacious and very unexpected, Pantone’s “Bodacious” makes a bold statement. We’ve toned down the original bright purple, which you’ll find across many design houses, for our Fall 2016 makeup collection to add an air of accessibility to this whimsical look.
  • Serenity: For sophisticated evening attire, this Authentic Beauty Fall 2016 seasonal makeup look plays off the orange undertones of Pantone’s “Potter’s Clay” for an exciting yet substantive fall color palette. The russet Earth tones also can carry you straight through winter.
