Holiday Look #2: All that Glitters
This is not the time of year to, as your mother would say, “tone it down.” It’s actually time to amp it up. But this holiday look by Authentic Beauty is a classic, wearable, soft gold eye with a warm nude-gold lip. It truly looks good on anybody & is super wearable from day to night.
As with every look, you need to start out with a completely smooth canvas, so pick the 3 in 1 foundation to hide flaws and add a touch of Iced Mocha blush to subtly warm a winter complexion. This shade has a slight glow that makes your face look softly candlelit. This is always sexy especially during the holidays.
While the face is always very important, the eyes are really more central in this look. The soft gold shimmer, the long dark lashes and the white liner are key in making this look pop. First, put Gold Rush and Malted Ice shadow on the eyelid & highlight with Barely Peach on browbone. Add white liner inside the inner rim of your eye (the term for that is waterline). Lastly, you can line your upper lash line with black powder eye shadow & eye liner sealer. The sealer will turn any shadow into a liquid liner without the catastrophe of trying to use liquid liner & messing up. Or just use a black pencil if that what works better for you. You can have Robyn do eyelash extensions for you or simply curl your lashes, add a coat of mascara, let that dry & curl them again. To intensify this look, glue a strip of false eyelashes or just add a few falsies to the ends of your eyes.
The lips should be neutral enough to not draw attention away from the rest of the look, but colorful enough so they don’t get lost. Use the Profaces Sand lip liner around the perimeter of your lips, fill your lips in with Nudity lipstick and top it with Bellisimo lip gloss to add that extra hint of shimmer without too much color. If you’re in a bind with lip liner, try using a taupe eye pencil to line your lips. I would love to help you with this look, so please come stop by & see me or book an appointment with me online.
