Holiday Look #3: Santa Baby

Holiday Look #3: Santa Baby

A few hazards of being in Atlanta during the holiday season: Traffic, freezing weather ie- rain, snow, sleet, more traffic, static electricity, road rage; you get the picture. So in between the screaming at your fill in the blank [boss, kid, husband, friend, mother etc.], you realize you need a pick me up. That, my darlings is the Santa Baby look. This warm, bronzy smoky eye with a glossy, lush red lip is perfect for going from work to that holiday party, or really anywhere during the holiday season. It also ensures that even though you are frustrated & running around like a wild woman, you look well rested & incredibly radiant.

It’s super important to play up the eyes & lips, and leave cheeks radiant with a natural-looking shimmer. First, the key component: eyes. Apply Malted Ice eyeshadow all over your eyelid, put Pecan eyeshadow in the crease, and Espresso eyeshadow in the outer corner. Apply the Spark Shimmer powder below the eyebrow and in inner corners for a little extra sparkle that will make your eyes pop & open up the face. Use brown and black eyeliner mixed together on the top and bottom lashlines (only 2/3 of the way in on lower lashline). Lastly, lightly apply Malted Ice shadow below the lower lashline as well.

If you are wearing this look to a soiree, as always, I would have Robyn do eyelash extensions for you or simply curl your lashes, add a coat of mascara, let that dry & curl them again. To intensify this look, glue a strip of false eyelashes or just add a few falsies to the ends of your eyes.

Of course, you should use our 3 in 1 foundation to cover up imperfections and keep skin flawless & smooth. Keep cheeks subtle with a light dusting of Shimmering Sandstone, a bronzy rose, on the apples of your cheeks. For the other essential part of this look, the lips use Espresso liner with Scarlet, Racy Red, or Chili lipstick- depending on skin tone-[check with me or another artist] topped with Urge to Splurge gloss. This look can be worn well after the holidays, so please let me know if you would like a lesson. Come stop by & see me or book an appointment with me online.
