Cancer is a scary disease and it’s even scarier when your child has it. Nationally, 16,000 children will be diagnosed with cancer in the next 12 months and in Georgia, more than 430 children will be diagnosed this year. Imagine waking up one day to the reality that your child, your baby, your everything, has cancer? And then there are the mothers whose love and dedication guides their families through this terrifying storm!
Authentic Beauty is proud to support CURE Childhood Cancer and for the 5th year in a row our talented team of makeup artists participated in this incredible event: A Tribute to Our Quiet Heroes– a unique and inspiring event, luncheon, and auction to honor and pay tribute to the strength and courage of the mothers of children with cancer.
The Authentic Beauty makeup team offered complimentary makeovers for these incredible mothers and to honor the vision of Cure Childhood Cancer dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through funding targeted research and through support of patients and their families.

Conceived of and hosted by Chris Glavine, wife of baseball superstar Tom Glavine, A Tribute to Our Quiet Heroes is one small way to let these courageous moms know they are cared for, to acknowledge what they’ve been through and what they continue to endure and to raise much needed funds for life-saving pediatric cancer research.
