CURE Childhood Cancer/ Atlanta Girl Expo

Events You Have to Attend

Cancer is a scary disease. And it’s much scarier when your child has it. I’m so glad that I don’t know that firsthand, but as a mother of two children, I can say I am so relieved that I don’t. But I certainly feel for those mothers who have had to deal with the horrible disease attacking their children.

This coming Saturday, Sept. 25, I am so thrilled to be part of Cure Childhood Cancer’s inspiring event that pays tribute to the strength and courage of the mothers of children with cancer-“A Tribute to Our Quiet Heroes.” The mothers in the family are really the people whose love and tireless dedication guide their families through this unimaginable journey of coping with a child or God forbid, children, with cancer. While the event mainly exists to honor those mothers, at the same time, the event raises much needed funds for life-saving pediatric cancer research.

My friend Chris Glavine, the wife of former Atlanta Braves team member-Tom Glavine-is the host of this event & she invited the Authentic Beauty team  out to do the mothers’ make-up for the second year in a row. We had an amazing time last year & know it will be amazing this year! It’s such a great feeling knowing that during the short time those women are in my chair or any of my artist’s chairs, they can be pampered. They can let themselves be taken care of. They can feel beautiful!

I would love to see all of you there on Saturday. The event starts at 11 a.m. & will be at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead, located at 3300 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30305. You can purchase tickets by clicking here.

Whether you are able to attend his year’s event or not, Cure Childhood Cancer has an array of silent auction items for you to purchase including:

Also I am so thrilled that Darryl Roberts & America the Beautiful will be coming to the Studio Movie Grill this Thursday, Sept. 23 for a free viewing of the PG-13 version of America the Beautiful! I wrote a blog on the screening last week & I sincerely hope everyone can make time in their schedules to come. I know that it’s OTP & all, but it will be a great learning experience for you & your daughter(s)!

And lastly, I am the keynote speaker at the Atlanta Girl Magazine Expo which is also on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Colony Square Atrium from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you have a daughter, please bring her by this great event! I’m so excited to partner with Atlanta Girl Magazine & honored they asked me to be the keynote speaker. I’ll speak sometime in the late afternoon when I am done at the Quiet Heroes luncheon.

On a another note, schedule an appointment with us soon! We are offering Fall Trends Group Classes where we will be demonstrating the looks and offering an interactive dialogue about Fall Fashion and how to achieve makeup looks to complement the season’s current trends.
