On the spring runways this year, makeup trends featured modern lip hues, futuristic eye shadows, graphic eyeliner, shimmer and sparkle on eyelids and cheeks and feminine, dewy and romantic shades on eyes, lips and cheeks.
New hues like orange lingered on lips for a standout pout as seen with Nanette Lepore, Donna Karan, Prabal Guruing, Christian Siriano, and Rag & Bone. All that glitters was gold at Dolce & Gabbana where a gold glitter eye brightened eyes and skin tones. The models on the runways of DVF, Thakoon and Derek Lam were true bronze goddesses and this look segues seamlessly from Spring to Summer. Last season’s retro eyeliner sprang to life and blossomed into a modern marvel at Kate Spade. Embracing the feminine mystique, at Prabal Gurung and Zac Posen, things were ethereal and romantic where pink lingered on lips and the skin was soft, dewy, youthful and fresh.
SPRING INTO ACTION: AUTHENTIC BEAUTY’S SPRING 2014 MAKEUP COLLECTION
This season, Authentic Beauty celebrates Real Women and Real Beauty and the characteristics that make women so incredible! In fact, we used our very own clients as our muses and models for our Spring 2014 makeup campaign SPRING INTO ACTION. Rather than fall victim to the unrealistic standards of beauty and the very unhealthy marketing practices in the makeup and fashion worlds, we took a stand and sprang into action with this makeup collection that truly embodies our vision and goals.
The women featured in this collection are our very own clients. They are mothers, sisters, and working professionals. Their beauty resonates in their souls and is articulated on the pages of their lives. They make the world a more beautiful place through their very existence. In short? They are real!
