The Starlet

The last of Authentic Beauty’s spring 2011 looks, The Starlet is the “It Look” of the season. I’m sure you have all seen this bright, punchy orange lip all over the place. Orange is a HUGE color for Spring 2011. It is all about making a statement with a bold, glossy orange lip. While not for the faint of heart, this look is surprisingly wearable, but really looks especially amazing on blue-eyes beauties.

To achieve the Starlet look, begin with “prepping the canvas”. Even out skin tone with our Custom Blended Foundation in your perfect shade. Next, I recommend starting with lips, as not to over-do the rest of the face. This look is really all about the lips, after all! Line the outer edge of your lips, and fill them in completely with Ginger pencil ($13). Top them off with Girls’ Night Out gloss ($16.50) or our new Beauty for Real gloss in All Fired Up ($22), which has a cool little light for touch-ups on the go!

The rest of this look is really soft and feminine, so that it does not distract from the bold lip. Dash a brown pencil along the lashline and blend with our Squirrel Precision Blender ($22). Next, press a peachy gold shadow onto the lid (Breathless, $15) with a flat shadow brush. Then, softly define the crease and outer corners of your eyes with a warm matte brown shade like Pecan ($15).  Curl and coat your lashes with 1-2 coats of black Blinc mascara. Smile and apply Impulsive blush ($15) to the apples of your cheeks for a warm, soft glow.

Want a little hands on help in creating this look?
