Unity: A Fall Makeup Tutorial from Authentic Beauty

We’ve toned down the original bright purple of Pantone’s vivacious, versatile and very unexpected “Bodacious,” but it still makes quite a bold statement in our Fall 2016 makeup collection. Serenity is at once accessible and whimsical, ensuring it can take you from a professional day into an evening soiree with only slight changes. This easy transition is just one reason so many fashion design houses have adopted rich purples into their Fall lines.

From our Fall 2016 Seasonal Looks Makeup Collection, Unity features an unpredictable pop of purple on the eyelids and is grounded with rich chocolate lips for a look that defies expectations.

Fall Makeup Tutorial: Unity

We began by prepping the face with a daytime moisturizer and eye balm, before applying our amazing Tinted Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 in Deep with a E39 Foundation Brush.tinted-primer

Next, we added our safe and non-toxic Magic 3-in-1 Foundation with the same brush for whole-face coverage and a perfect complexion. Learn more about this very popular pro-grade foundation developed by Alyson Hoag here.

To further enhance the flawless skin tone, we applied our Magic 3-in-1 Foundation in Fawn under the eyes with the Morphe M425 Concealer Brush.

We then used our Plumeria Blush, applied with the Morphe G4 Angled Blush Brush, on the cheekbones for a warm glow, and finished the face with Satin Glow Powder and ProFaces Translucent Loose Powder for overall coverage.

On the eyes, we used Sweetheart Shadow along the brow bone for set off the eyes, and applied Passion Flower and Iced Plum eyeshadow to the lids.

We followed these foundational colors by applying both Iris and Amethyst eyeshadow in the crease, before blending with the Smudge It & Smoke It brush. If needed, you also can add an appropriate brow color and formula. We used Dark Taupe Definer here.

For the lips, we wanted a rich, glossy shine. We achieved this with a Chocolate Lipliner, Chocolate Lipstick and our Show Stopper Lipgloss.
